That’s his name – Oso Simple – it is, he is. For me the two meanings interact – life is oh so simple – does that sound simplistic? He acknowledges he is oh so simple – so we know it’s a voluntary simplicity – he knows we need not complicate life – by being simple we grow brilliantly. That’s how I read it. It reminds me of James Stewart in the 1950 movie Harvey:
Years ago my mother used to say to me, “In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart, or oh so pleasant.” Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant.
Mom and I went to Oso’s party. We heard him perform. His brothers’ heckles were hilarious. His music, voice, lyrics – great, great, great:
‘Welcome to My Heart’ – got me crying – in pain then in grand peace.
‘Singing Turtle’: To follow my dreams I got to follow through, Hell is a place between Don’t and Do.
I can’t get the MySpace music player with some of Oso’s songs to embed here using the tags ‘object’ and/or ‘embed’. Let it be.
