Stevie Wonder performed at the Democratic Convention. Stevie Wonder disappointed at the Democratic Convention, I think, relative to what he could have done. He could have performed 2 of the greatest tunes ever, with lyrics perfectly fit for the event:

Sir Duke click to listen

– Perhaps the organizers thought that to get the conservative white vote they needed to stay away from the wild enthusiasm in Sir Duke:

Music is a world … With a language we all understand With an equal opportunity For all to sing, dance and clap their hands … Here are some of music’s pioneers That time will not allow us to forget … You can feel it all over You can feel it all over …

Higher Ground

… Powers keep on lyin’ While your people keep on dyin’ World keep on turnin’ Cause it won’t be too long

I’m so darn glad he let me try it again Cause my last time on earth I lived a whole world of sin I’m so glad that I know more than I knew then Gonna keep on tryin’ Till I reach the highest ground

Teachers keep on teachin’ Preachers keep on preachin’ World keep on turnin’ Cause it won’t be too long Oh no

Lovers keep on lovin’ Believers keep on believin’ Sleepers just stop sleepin’ Cause it wont be too long Oh no

I’m so glad that he let me try it again Cause my last time on earth I lived a whole world of sin I’m so glad that I know more than I knew then Gonna keep on tryin’ Till I reach my highest ground…whew! No ones gonna bring me down … God is gonna show you higher ground He’s the only friend you have around

A couple months a go I saw & spoke to Stevie in person, asking if he would be able to help me help many, many kids with cancer like my daughter, and autistic kids like my daughter. I left my phone numbers with his manager. I have not heard back from him as of yet, but I am hopeful some day they will call me. I am getting very close to having the non-profit foundation set up for kids with cancer, autistic issues, medical issues without insurance. This foundation will not be able to help my daughter, but it will be able to help many, many kids and their parents so they will not have to go through what we have endured.

So I am asking if Stevey would help me get a real big concert set up, where all or a lot of the money would go to this new foundation so we can help pay for the kids’ insurance, co-pays, medicines, etc.
