IMAGISCAPE THEATRE PRESENTS Randy Rutherford’s SINGING AT THE EDGE OF THE WORLD

What do you do when a wall of silence comes between you and your dreams? As a popular folk singer in 1970′s Anchorage, Alaska, Randy Rutherford was living his dream; then congenital hearing loss sucked the sound from his world forever…
“Powerfully eloquent … hilarious … spellbinding” – Patrick Langston, Ottawa Citizen “Intimate and moving, this show is a powerhouse, a triumph of confessional storytelling… a strong voice, a gifted player and, most of all delightful company for 75 minutes that fly by.” ****1/2 — Richard Helm, Edmonton Journal “What this fringe veteran, troubadour and master storyteller gives his audience in this gorgeous mosaic of memoir, music, and homespun humor goes well beyond entertainment.” ***** — Carolin Vesely, Winnipeg Free Press

Filled with laughter, radiant imagery and unforgettable characters, Singing at the Edge of the World is an inspiring tale of one man’s ability to overcome adversity.

(It seems you have turned images off. We suggest otherwise.)
2007 ‘Pick of the Fringe’ – Vancouver, Victoria, Winnipeg – 21 time ‘Best of Fringe’ winner –

“Brilliant, inspirational, sheer magic.” ***** – Uptown Magazine (BEST PICK) “Tremendously well crafted” ***** – Victoria Times Colonist (TOP PICK) “Engaging, radiant, emotionally honest & surprisingly funny. A must see” ***** – Monday Magazine (TOP PICK)

Background: After giving up music and performing because of his progressive hearing loss, Rutherford became a water colorist earning an MFA in art. Restless to perform again, he returned to the stage in the early 90′s and created a string of critically acclaimed hits (My Brother Sang Like Roy Orbison, Weaverville Waltz, One Frigid Shiny Knight, and This May Feel a Little Funny).
